Springboks are known for their distinctive appearance. They have a slender body with a reddish-brown coat on their back, white underbelly, and a dark stripe running along each side. The name "springbok" is derived from their unique behavior of "pronking" or "springing" into the air. When they leap, they arch their backs and lift their white tails, displaying a flap of skin with a dark stripe that runs down their back. Springboks are highly adaptable and can be found in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, savannas, and semi-arid regions in southern Africa. They are well-suited to arid environments.
